Who we are
CleanPlanet-CO2 is a system to offset carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions devised by Asja to curb the climate emergency.
The “Greenhouse effect” is a natural phenomenon, yet its enhancement due to human activities is causing our planet to get warmer and warmer, with a subsequent disastrous environmental impact. The climate-related disasters that have long been posited by scientists are now sadly real and we cannot turn a blind eye on them any longer.
During an average day, many human actions generate green house gas emissions: commuting, heating our homes, turning lights on…Thanks to the CleanPlanet-CO2 system, private individuals, organizations, institutions or companies that are aware of their “ ecological footprint”, can offset the greenhouse gas activities they generate, with CO2 credits.
By voluntarily offsetting such credits direct investments are made into ethical projects to generate energy from renewable sources both in Italy and in developing countries, thus reducing the amounts of fossil fuels used. Once the carbon offset has been accomplished, Asja will issue an Eco-awareness Certificate for those who have participated in this offsetting project and their names will be filed in the CleanPlanet-CO2 Eco-registry. The entire offsetting process is governed by the CleanPlanet-CO2 Protocol (Italian version).
